Oh joy, it's that time of year again: resolutions season. And as always, Prince William County residents have outdone themselves with their grand plans for self-improvement.

"I've decided to be more annoying at county board meetings this year," said one resident, rolling their eyes. "Because nothing says 'I'm committed to personal growth' like disrupting important governmental proceedings and making a mockery of our democratic process."

But this group of residents isn't content with just being annoying. Oh no, they've got a whole list of ways to make sure they reach their goal of maximum irritation. From bringing in loud noisemakers and interrupting speakers, to dressing up in ridiculous costumes and asking nonsensical questions, these residents are pulling out all the stops.

"We're not trying to be disruptive or disrespectful," one of them insisted, with a completely straight face. "We just want to add a little bit of excitement to these otherwise dull meetings. You know, because nothing says 'excitement' like a room full of irate citizens and frustrated officials."

County officials are understandably nervous about the new year, knowing full well the chaos that is sure to ensue at the next board meeting. "We just hope they remember to keep it respectful and within the bounds of the law," said a spokesperson, with a hint of desperation in their voice.

So, dear residents of Prince William County: as you make your resolutions for the new year, remember to be considerate of your fellow citizens and the importance of functioning government. Or, you know, don't. Happy annoying!
