Home Depot has teamed up with Dominion Energy to bring you the ultimate Valentine's Day accessory for your lawn: the "Virginia is for Lovers" inflatable! Not only will this purchase bring joy to your neighborhood, but a portion of the proceeds will go towards an energy assistance program.
According to a Home Depot spokesperson, "We know that our customers want to spread joy all year round, not just during the holiday season. And let's be real, who doesn't love a good inflatable? Plus, we figured that since no one talks to their neighbors in the suburbs anymore, this would be a great way for them to communicate their love (or lack thereof) through lawn decor."
The inflatable consumes a whopping 300 watts per hour (which is pretty impressive considering most inflatables only use 50-200 watts). However, it only reaches a height of five feet. But hey, size doesn't matter, right?
Pre-sales have been strong in the Northern Virginia region, with the Lake Ridge neighborhood in Prince William County leading the way in orders. And the good news doesn't stop there! Local HOAs have even gotten behind the idea and are working to educate their communities.
One HOA board member stated, "We want to make it clear that this inflatable is not just a holiday decoration. It's a way for our neighbors to transition from their beloved Christmas lights to something new and exciting for another made-up holiday. You know, because why not?"
